Under the chairmanship of the Minister of Environment, Sanitation and Sustainable Development, the session of validation of deliverables L2, L4, L6 and L7 of the Integrated System of Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) of the Nationally Determined Contribution (CDN) of Mali was opened on Tuesday, 14 October 2025 in Bamako.

In her speech, the Minister supported the national decree establishing the MRV system, welcoming this initiative and expressing the gratitude of the Government of Mali to the World Bank, a faithful partner for its support through the Degraded Lands Restoration Project (PRTD-Mali).

The workshop, organized by the Environment and Sustainable Development Agency (AEDD) with technical and financial support from PRTD-Mali, brings together national structures, technical and financial partners, as well as experts and consultants involved in the development of the MRV system for three days.

The objective of this meeting is to validate the technical deliverables of the MRV system in order to enhance the transparency and monitoring of climate action in Mali.

The opening ceremony recorded the presence of Mr. National Coordinator of PRTD-Mali, the national structures involved in the management of the environment and climate change.
