On Thursday, 29 November 2024, the Degraded Lands Restoration Project (PRTD) held a meeting in its meeting room at the UGP, chaired by Mr. Madou Diallo, National Coordinator of the project.

The objective was to take stock of the preparation of providers, companies, and study offices responsible for dredging, curing, and rehabilitation of key infrastructure, including:

• The route of access to boat docks,

• The dam and road to the governorate,

• The docking ramp and the water channel at the Konna fishing port.

In the presence of the Governor of the Mopti region, General Abassis Dembélé, the President of the Comanaf, the representatives of the companies presented the state of preparation.

Discussions focused on the submission of technical dossiers, compliance with contractual deadlines, and consideration of environmental and social measures.

Service orders were issued for 16 December 2024, with an effective start scheduled for 1 January 2025.

This step marks a decisive step towards the success of the work on sustainable development and infrastructure resilience in the Mopti region.
