Strengthening cooperation Mali – World Bank for the restoration of degraded land.

On the margins of COP16 in Riyadh, Mali's Minister of Environment, Sanitation and Sustainable Development met with the World Bank's Washington-based Director General of Environment.

During this exchange, the Minister presented the major progress of the PRTD project, from its launch to date, as well as the prospects and results expected. Ms. Executive Director reiterated the World Bank's strong commitment to support Mali, including through capacity-building, initiatives on environmental protection, pollution, climate change, and a sustainable partnership.

Both sides welcomed the quality of the exchanges and committed themselves to working together to make PRTD-Mali a model for land restoration at the African level.

This strong partnership reflects the shared commitment to protecting our environment for future generations.
