The Minister of Environment, Sanitation and Sustainable Development represented Mali at the panel organized by the World Bank on 23 October 2024, focusing on strengthening restoration, strengthening ecosystems and increasing resilience. This exchange brought together Mali, Malawi, Kenya and Colombia to share their experiences in protecting, preserving and restoring biodiversity.
The Minister highlighted Mali's opportunities and challenges in landscape restoration and highlighted the importance of projects such as the Degraded Land Restoration Project, including through the enhancement of non-timber forest products and innovative land restoration practices.
He thanked the World Bank for its continued support for these critical initiatives for our country's development.
