The Malian delegation, led by the Minister of Environment, Sanitation and Sustainable Development, took part in the opening ceremony of the 16th United Nations Conference on Biodiversity (COP16) on Sunday, 20 October 2024 in Cali, Colombia.

This global event, crucial for the future of our planet, is an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to preservation lands, oceans and living species, essential to humanity.

The delegation is composed of members of the ministerial cabinet, the Directorate General for Water and Forests, and the Degraded Lands Restoration Project (PRTD-Mali).
