The panel highlighted regional efforts in the Sahel to address the interconnected challenges of climate change, land degradation, entrepreneurship, social cohesion and security.

During his speech, the Minister presented Mali's flagship initiatives, including the Project for the Restoration of Degraded Lands (PRTD), which he hailed as a « structural and endogenous project, a model to multiply » to sustainably restore landscapes and strengthen community resilience.
