It was attended by the Secretary-General of the Department, the Chief of Staff, the National Coordinator of PRTD-MALI and administrators.
After welcoming his guests, the Coordinator DIALLO thanked the guardianship department for its availability and constant support to the project. This, in his view, led to significant results in the field.
In his opening speech, Minister DOUMBIA Mariam TANGARA recalled the progress made, including the establishment of bodies such as the Steering Committee and the Multisectoral Technical Committee, the establishment of the Field Unit, the official launch of PRTD activities, the holding of two Steering Committee sessions, one of which was a regular for the validation of the PTBA 2024 and one extraordinary for approving the contingent emergency response manual, among others.
Minister DOUMBIA Mariam TANGARA welcomed the fact that, on an adjusted budget forecast of just over CFAF 14 billion, the project had achieved nearly 5 billion at October 31, 2024, a rate of 34.43%. This rate, the minister continued, will reach 75% by 31 December 2024 with the start of major works in the Niger's interior Delta and the implementation of subprojects.
It should be noted that this AWP project will serve as a tool for project planning and management. As such, it will constitute in addition to the financing agreement, the legal framework for justifying expenditure, ensuring the effectiveness and impact of the achievements through regular monitoring of project progress.
