He referred in particular to the signing of sub-project agreements, a key step in the implementation of local initiatives in favour of preservation of land and strengthening the livelihoods of communities. The launch of restoration work on the Mopti and Konna banks was also discussed, a key action to protect these fragile areas and improve resilience to environmental challenges.
The issue also highlighted productive alliances in the fisheries sector, a strategic lever to sustainably value fisheries resources and improve the living conditions of stakeholders in the sector. In terms of prospects, the development of productive alliances for Non-Ligneux Forest Products (NLFPs) and the exploration of carbon credit opportunities open new avenues for sustainable management of natural resources and a positive long-term impact.
Through this programme, PRTD-Mali reaffirms its commitment to concrete and structuring actions for the restoration of degraded land and the sustainable development of local communities.
