Yesterday, in San, the Prime Minister, Head of Government, launched the collective fishing of Sankemô, an ancestral rite charged with symbols, which marks the entry into the rainy season and seals the unity of communities for more than six centuries.
The Degraded Land Restoration Project (PRTD-Mali) supports this emblematic activity, a symbol of community resilience, territorial ties and heritage development intangible.
Through its support for this major cultural activity, the project helps to foster a collective memory, strengthen social ties and integrate restoration into the deep roots of our identity.
Because restoring the land also means honoring the knowledge and rites that have inhabited them for centuries.
