As part of the activities of the Fish Days, a conference was held this morning at the Palais de la Culture Amadou Hampâté Bâ, bringing together key players in the fisheries sector around productive alliances supported by the Degraded Lands Restoration Project in Mali (PRTD-Mali).
On this occasion, the Social Specialist of PRTD-Mali presented the project as a whole, with particular emphasis on productive alliances in the fish sector. The presentation focused on the project's objectives, the results already achieved on the ground through productive fisheries alliances, as well as expectations for job creation, improved livelihoods for fishermen and resilience to the effects of climate change.
This communication was followed by discussions with participants, marked by a series of questions and answers on eligibility conditions for beneficiaries, opportunities offered by productive alliances, and recommendations made by industry stakeholders to strengthen the impact of this initiative.
The meeting was attended by the National Coordinator of PRTD-Mali, the National Directorate of Fisheries, the Inter-Profession of the Fish Sector and many participants.
