Second session of the PRTD-Mali Steering Committee: Looking ahead!

This morning, 26 November, was held in the meeting room of a hotel of the square, the second session of the Steering Committee of the Degraded Lands Restoration Project in Mali (PRTD-Mali).

Chaired by the Minister of Environment, Sanitation and Sustainable Development, Doumbia Mariam Tangara, this ordinary session has the following objectives:

• Validate balance sheet 2024;

Review and approve the Annual Work and Budget Plan (AWP) 2025;

• Finalize the document for submission to the World Bank before the deadlines agreed in the financing agreement;

• Make recommendations to guide the next steps of the project.

The session brought together participants from the various ministerial offices, the national coordinator, the members of the steering committee, as well as representatives of the governors of the Kayes, Koulikoro, Ségou and Mopti regions.

This meeting is important to consolidate the progress of the project and ensure sustainable management of degraded land in Mali.
