On Monday 30 June 2025 in Bamako, the Degraded Lands Restoration Project (PRTD-Mali) officially launched the training of the first beneficiaries of selected business plans following the call launched last August, as part of the implementation of productive alliances around fishery products.
In his scoping note, the National Coordinator The project recalled that this initiative is part of the dynamic of professionalization of the sector, strengthening community resilience and creating sustainable value chains. He stressed the importance of this step, which aims to provide beneficiaries with concrete tools to better manage their investments, while respecting the environmental and social requirements of the project.
The ceremony recorded the presence of the President of the Inter-Profession of Fisheries, the representative of the National Directorate of Fisheries, several experts from the sector, as well as the 200 beneficiaries from different regions of the country.
For five days, these actors will be trained on the technical, organisational, accounting and commercial aspects of their projects, with the key being a practical immersion within two modern farm partners.
