As part of the 26th Environment Fortnight, a conference-debate was held in San around the history of the great Malian cultural figures who marked the preservation of the natural heritage through tales, proverbs and narratives.

Chaired by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment, in the presence of the Governor of San, the Coordinator of PRTD-Mali, partners, religious, customary and youth leaders, the session was attended by: moderated by Dr. Fodé Moussa Sidibé, teacher, researcher.

Discussions focused on traditional sustainable management practices, cultural prohibitions, the role of women and men in forest conservation, and the importance of culture in land restoration.

The session concluded with a dialogue with the public.
