The event was chaired by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, in the presence of the Minister of Environment, Sanitation and Sustainable Development, several members of the Government, representatives of international institutions, ambassadors, and the National Coordinator of the Degraded Lands Restoration Project (PRTD-Mali).

This 2025 campaign, strongly supported by PRTD, symbolizes Mali's commitment to ecological restoration. More than 30 000 plants (gommers, moringa, shea, baobabs) have been planted today, accompanied by irrigation, drainage and drainage systems. These efforts are part of a broader PRTD dynamic, with already more than 26,900 hectares reforested, 13,000 direct jobs created, and thousands of beneficiaries in rural areas.

Through an awareness-raising sketch presented at the ceremony, national opinion was questioned about the urgency of preserving our environment, restoring degraded land and protecting our biodiversity. These plantations are not symbolic: they will be monitored, maintained and will help build Mali's ecological resilience.
